Frequently Asked Questions

1.) What are Modalities?

Modalities are “the tools in your massage therapist toolkit” They are specific skills or techniques that the therapist has spent extra time studying or getting certifications in.

2.) What type of Massages do you offer?

I specialize in Therapeutic massage, Swedish, deep tissue, and reflexology.

3.) Do you accept Walk-ins or is it appointment only?

Massage sessions are by appointment only to provide each client with the time an attention they deserve. You can book online or by calling/texting in advance. Same day appointments may be available if there’s an opening.

4.)  How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 5- 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete an paperwork and discuss your goals. For returning clients, arriving 5 minutes early is usually plenty of time to settle in and start on time.

5.) What should I wear to my massage?

Wear comfortable clothing. You’ll be appropriately draped during your massage for privacy, and only the area being worked on will be exposed.

6.)  How do I pay for my session?

I accept cash, check, and debit/credit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.  First time clients must have a card on file.

7.)  What’s your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling or shortening the length of session. Late cancellations, rescheduling, shortening sessions or no-shows will be required to pay a cancellation fee (50 – 100%) of the session rate.

8.)  How often should I get a massage?

That depends on your goals. For chronic pain or injury recovery, weekly or biweekly may be best. For general wellness and stress relief, monthly is a great place to start.

9.) Do you work with people who have medical conditions or chronic pain?

Absolutely. I regularly help clients with chronic conditions like Fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraines, diabetes and many more.  I also have experience helping people who’ve had recent injuries or surgeries.  Be sure to share your medical history during your intake so I can adjust the session accordingly.

10.)  Is tipping Expected?

Tipping is never required or expected but always appreciated.  Honestly, I’d rather you be able to come in more often for the health benefits than worry about tipping me each time!

11.) Inclement weather

If NLR or PCSSD schools are closed due to inclement weather, then the office will be too.  Please call or text the office at 501-412-6412 if you have questions about whether we will be open or not.  I leave the roads to the first responders in case of nasty weather!

12.) Gift Certificates

Please treat like cash as they cannot be reissued. You may transfer the GC to another person, but they are non-refundable. Any promotional value expires 6 months after the date purchased.  To use the service after expiration date, you will have to pay any difference in pricing.

13.) Client Conduct

Any inappropriate behaviors, comments, or requests will result in the immediate termination of the session with full payment due

14.) Late arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid overlapping into the next client’s appointment. The full session fee will still apply.
